SOFF Dinner Meeting

The Rogue River would be considered by many of the Southern Fly Fishers as their home river as many members live either on or near it. And as such, it can be assumed that many club members fish the river. The question now is how well do you really know the river? One repeatedly hears club members asking where the best spots on the river to fish and what species of fish to target. If this is a quandary that has you perplexed, than you are luck as the January speakers, Kait and James Sampsel, a tag team match of guides, specializing on fishing the Rogue will be the evening’s presenters. The date of the meeting is January 19^th.

Their program “Rogue River and the Impressions Left Behind” is about the four season on the Rogue and gives great information of when and where to fish for what species depending on the season. It gives detailed information on the upper, middle and lower Rogue River and though they primarily focus on steelhead, they do talk about trout on the upper Rogue in May-June. They will also provide walk and wade information to local anglers looking to get out more. So if you’re ready to get more out of fishing the Rogue River, then this is a must see program.

Reservations for the January dinner meeting are due by Noon, Monday, January 16th.
