Have you ever thought about fishing in Alaska and after checking with the various lodges, discovered the you couldn’t afford their prices? Well you are in luck as our March dinner speaker is Rick Newton, who will be presenting a program on do it yourself fishing in Alaska. Although, much of his fishing was done on Kodiak Island, he has fished in other areas of Alaska and his program will also include those locations in his presentation.  

Besides where to go, his program will include when to go, what you need to bring with you and what flies to use. All in all, anyone thinking about going to fish Alaska ‘on the cheap’ will certainly gain a lot insights on how it is done and should make it a point to attend March’s dinner meeting.
