NOVEMBER DINNER MEETING

Just a reminder that our Dinner Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 18^th at the Grants Pass Golf Course. The evening program presented by Gary Weber is entitled Fly Fishing the Sky Lakes Wilderness. The program offers anglers a comprehensive look at this massive south-central Oregon wilderness area and the tactics and techniques that are used for effectively fly fishing it and features an overview of the Sky Lake’s physical characteristics, historical significance, flora and fauna, and trout stocking history. In addition, the area’s three major lake basins are identified and analyzed – noting each region’s most popular lakes and hiking trails – with a special emphasis on the Sky Lakes Basin and its waters. A complete description of each of the Lower Sky Lakes Basin’s lakes, a review of the hiking trails that are required to reach them, a list of the basin’s important hatches and insects and the recommended fly patterns to match them plus gear and tackle suggestions round out the presentation to insure you’ll experience a memorable and productive Sky Lakes Wilderness trip.

I know that it has been a long time since we have met in person and some of you may have forgotten the procedure, so here it is once again. Reservations for the November dinner meeting and the Gary Weber’s presentation are due by Noon, Monday, November 14^th  and currently I have very few reservations in. Dinner reservations can be made by going to the club’s website www.soff.org and clicking on the dinner reservations button or if you’d rather call in your dinner reservation, you can do so by calling the club’s answering machine at 541 955-4718 and leaving your information.
