Fly Tying On Zoom
January 14 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
For everyone that needs a little fly tying break from the Corona Virus, here’s an opportunity to view, listen, and learn to tie some new patterns provided by the Central Oregon Fly Tyers Guild. This presentation will be via Zoom and is scheduled for Thursday, January 14th at 5:00 PM. To take part in this program, see below for Website, Meeting ID and Passcode.
FFI Oregon Clubs,
The classes are going well, and we are learning more and more about the setup. We received some good comments about the dual screen tying closer to the fly. That did work for the last class. Please forward this to your club members. Remind them to reply to me if they haven’t already and I will add them to the overall email list. Sorry for any duplications.
Reminder the next “ZoomTying” is this Thursday January 14th. 5PM PST. Jim Crislip will be teaching us all about tube fly’s and the different options of tools available in fly shops. He will also be demonstrating how to tie a tube fly.
The attached document is a photo of several tube flies plus a document to give everyone a look at what these flies are all about.
If you have a tube fly setup or kit, feel free to tie along with your own design and materials of your choice. If you want purchase the tools to tie these before the class call your local fly shop. My local hang out is The Fly Fishers Place, they carry the “Pro Tube Fly System” setup that Jim will be using. https://flyfishersplace.com/ 541-420-3474
