The Southern Oregon Fly Fishers are putting on their annual beginning fly fishing clinic on Saturday, May 17th. The clinic will be held from 9 AM until 3:30 PM at Reinhart Park, at the Harry and David pavilion near the casting pond. The cost will be $20 per person, payable at the clinic. The SOFF has fly rods for participants, or you can bring your fly rod. The clinic will cover basic fly casting, knots, types of fly rods and fly lines, flies, wading and floating equipment, and safety on the water. We will also share information on fishing regulations, species of local gamefish, and the best places and times of year to fish in Southern Oregon.

Participants are asked to bring a seat cushion, water, and lunch. Each participant will receive a flyfishing catalog, the Oregon Fishing Regulations booklet, and some flies to get started with.
