About Us
Welcome to SOFF.ORG
Organized in 1993, Southern Oregon Fly Fishers is a non-profit membership corporation established to promote the arts and skills of fly fishing and to encourage conservation of our natural resources through the inherent ethic and stewardship that fly fishing evokes.
We are a charitable organization. The club supports organizations associated with protecting and restoring fishing habitats such as the Rogue River Watershed Council, the Habitat Oregon Stewardship and The Federation of Fly Fishers Osprey. Our members participate in Conservation Projects throughout the Rogue Valley. We provide two scholarships to OSU students pursuing careers related to wildlife and fisheries. The club donates and participates in projects such as Project Healing Waters, and Casting for Recovery.
OUR GOALS ARE :
- To provide public education in the arts of fly casting, fly tying, and fly fishing tactics.
- To assist our government agencies with fisheries related and habitat enhancement projects.
- To promote the sport of fly fishing as a means of conservation of our natural resources by fostering a greater appreciation of our natural environment.
